A Family Owned Connecticut Moving Company

How Old Fashion Moving Started

Before Old Fashion Moving existed, our family spent weekends helping families in need pick up and deliver the items they needed. We loaded trucks, carried furniture, and made sure people got what they needed to get by. After a while we saw the bigger picture. Moving help was something the whole community needed, not just the families we knew. So we built a company around it.

That is how Old Fashion Moving was born. A family that already knew how to move people decided to do it for all of Connecticut.

Who We Are Today

Old Fashion Moving is owned and run by Jonathan Rodrigues, a father of four with 12 years of experience in the moving industry. The business has been serving Connecticut families for 6 years and has completed more than 5,000 moves. We hold a CTDOT Household Goods Carrier Certificate, which means we are licensed to handle your household move the right way.

Our crew includes John, Terence, Mike, Derek, and many more movers who show up ready to work. We treat every home like it is our own and every customer like family. That is not a slogan. It is how we were raised and how we run the business.

What We Believe

Moving is one of the most stressful days in a family’s life. Our job is to take that weight off your shoulders. We give binding estimates so the price we quote is the price you pay. Customers 65 and older get 10% off every move. And we stand behind every job with a simple promise: we are not done until you are fully satisfied.
